Ectodermal Dysplasia is a condition

One or two abnormal genes cause Ectodermal Dysplasia. It causes varying degrees of severity from a slight malformation to more devastating conditions that can handicap an individual in many ways.

Professor Brånemark has developed a dental implant designed for placement in the Zygoma region of the mouth. This implant was first placed in 1989 and since that time 81 patients have been treated with a success rate of 96.8%.
